Zelensky says Ukraine will do “everything possible” to win the war this year

“We will do everything possible to win this year,” said the President of Ukraine on Friday. Volodymyr Zelenskyin a speech to the nation on the occasion of the first anniversary of the start of the Russian invasion of his country.

“We are strong. We are prepared for everything. We will defeat everyone. Because we are Ukraine”he said in a video posted on social media.

Zelensky assured that “every Ukrainian has lost someone close” since the invasion and that Ukraine will not stop until the Russians “are punished.”

“We will never forgive him. We will never rest until the Russian murderers are punished. By the international court, by the judgment of God or by our soldiers”, he added.

Zelensky also stated that the cities of Bucha, Irpin, Kherson and Mariupol, among others, the scene of atrocities attributed to the Russians or symbols of the occupation or the resistance of the Ukrainian army, are the Ukrainian “capitals of invincibility”.
