“Like our Chinese colleagues, we consider any restrictive measures not approved by the UN Security Council to be illegitimate. They are crude tools of unfair competition and economic warfare,” he added.

Zajárova pointed out that Russia “is willing to seek a solution to the objectives of the special military operation through political-diplomatic means.”

“This means the end of supplies to Ukraine of Western weapons and mercenaries, the end of all war actions, the return of Ukraine to non-aligned status, the recognition of the new territorial realities” created after the annexation referendums organized by Russia in four Ukrainian regions, he said.

In addition, he demanded “the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, and the elimination of all threats from its territory.”

The representative of Russian diplomacy asserted that the rights of the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine must be respected, including the right to speak their language, and called for the removal of all sanctions against Russia and all international lawsuits.
