Norma Lizbeth: 14-year-old Azahara arrested as allegedly responsible for the murder of her classmate

The Attorney General of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) apprehended Azahara Aylin N, the 14-year-old adolescent, for her possible intervention in the crime of qualified homicide of Norma Lizbeth, the young student from the official secondary school 0518 attached to the Normal de Teotihuacán Los Jaguares, who died on March 13.

The foregoing, derived from the execution of a search warrant at an address located in the neighborhood Santa Maria Cozotlan, Teotihuacan municipality.

In coordination with the National Anti-Homicide Commission (CONAHO), the minor was apprehended, who was placed at the disposal of the Control Judge inside the Quinta del Bosque Detention Center in order to resolve her legal situation.

According to the investigations, it was established that on February 21, 2023 the victim was assaulted by a classmate from the Official Secondary School 0518 Annex to the Normal School of Teotihuacán “Los Jaguares”, where they both studied.

On March 13, 2023, the victim, when she was at home, lost consciousness, for which she was transferred by her relatives to the “Ignacio Allende” Specialized Center for Primary Health Care in Teotihuacán and upon arrival she no longer showed signs of vital.

The proceedings carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office established that the attack resulted in a head injury whose evolution caused his death.

With the evidence obtained, Specialized Public Ministry Agents of the Prosecutor’s Office requested the Specialized Control Judge in the Comprehensive Criminal Justice System for Adolescents to issue an arrest warrant against him, which was granted.
