Former US President Donald Trump wants to be arrested on Tuesday.

He gave no information on social media about how he knew about the expected arrest.

In a post on his network Truth Social, he wrote that “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan Attorney’s Office indicate that “THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE EXUTED NEXT TUESDAY NEXT WEEK.” .’

Trump also called on his supporters to protest.

The post comes as a New York prosecutor faces charges in a case investigating hush money paid to women who allegedly had sexual encounters with him.

New York law enforcement officials have taken precautions against the possibility that the former president could be charged.

There was no public announcement of a timeline for the grand jury’s secret work on the case, including a vote on whether to indict the ex-president.

During his tenure, he repeated his lies that the 2020 presidential election he lost to Democrat Joe Biden was stolen and urged his supporters to “PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”

This language was reminiscent of the message from the then president that preceded the riot at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The Manhattan Grand Jury has heard witnesses, including former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, who says he orchestrated payments to two women in 2016 to silence them about sexual encounters they had with Trump a decade earlier.

The former president denies the meetings took place, says he did nothing wrong and considers the investigation a “witch hunt” by a Democratic prosecutor bent on sabotaging the Republican’s 2024 presidential campaign.

The office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg appears to be investigating whether state laws were broken in connection with the payments or how Mr. Trump’s company compensated Mr. Cohen for his work to cover up the women’s allegations.

Trump went live yesterday with his first Facebook post since 2021.

‘I’M BACK!’ he wrote in the post on Friday afternoon.

It was accompanied by a 12-second Trump campaign video from 2024.

“Sorry to keep you waiting, complicated business, complicated business,” Trump said in the clip as he addressed a waiting crowd in New York City after defeating Hillary Clinton and winning the 2016 presidential election.

His news came more than a month after Meta, owner of Facebook and Instagram, restored its accounts.

Trump has 34 million followers on his Facebook page. Friday’s post is a clear indication that Trump intends to use Facebook as a mechanism in his 2024 presidential campaign, which he announced in November.

The 45th president continued to post on his own Truth Social platform, though his meta accounts and Twitter account were restored in November following Elon Musk’s takeover.
