PSV imposes a 40-year punishment on the fan who hit Marko Dimitrovic for the Europa League

On February 23, in a match between PSV and Sevilla for the 16th. In the Europa League final, a fan of the Dutch club jumped onto the pitch and attacked the red-and-white goalkeeper Marko Dimitrovic. After the incident, the institution guaranteed a severe punishment to the fan.

After a month of proceedings, the PSV, through a statement, made official what the sanction would be. From now on, the individual will be banned from the Philips Stadium for forty years. Likewise, the Dutch club could receive a fine from UEFA.

“The club will initiate a procedure to recover the damages suffered by the club. For his entry into the camp, the young man is currently serving a three-month prison sentence, one of which is suspended. In addition, the Public Ministry has also imposed an area ban around the Philips Stadium for two years,” the club said.
