Who is alias Negro Óber, the leader of ‘the coastal Rastrojos’?

He has already been through 7 prisons and apparently in all of them he has found a way to evade the authorities, enter cell phones, and continue threatening and extorting money. That is the recent history of Óber Ricardo Martínez Gutiérrez, alias Ober Blackfeared leader of the criminal gang ‘los Rastrojos costeños’, a group that commits crimes in Barranquilla, other municipalities of Atlántico and areas of the Caribbean Coast.

The last mockery of justice occurred this week, when the man, as if he were in the dining room of his house, appears in a video threatening to kill innocent merchants in retaliation for the capture of his wife in an operation carried out in Barranquilla a few days ago.

The video with the threats prompted, on Saturday night, an inspection of his cell in the Girón prison, in Santander, and in videos shared by Inpec, he can be heard making mocking comments to the guards who made the search, ” Can’t you just rip that entire top block apart to see if I can blow myself up right away?” he says.

According to Inpec, in this inspection A cell phone was found on him, a prohibited item in a prison, and accessories, and right now he is isolated in a Special Treatment Unit (UTE).

The truth is that even from the different prisons in which he has been, Martínez Gutiérrez has found a way to continue intimidating the community. Before his capture, in October 2021, he headed the cartel of the most wanted in Barranquilla and for his capture there was a reward of 100 million pesos.

Since then, although he is technically off the streets, merchants have continued to denounce his extortion and intimidating messages.

The video released on Saturday is just proof of this. “What is quiet is left quiet, if you mess with innocent people, I also mess with innocent people and it’s going to be the merchants, the merchants are going to pay me all of it, they die, they die, that’s where You are going to cry”, he is heard saying.

In August 2022, he had also appeared again due to a video he sent from prison to extort money from a victim.

‘Negro Óber’ was captured in 2021 by the Police on a road in Melgar, Tolima, where he was located after intelligence and investigation work and thanks to information provided by human sources. AND As reported by the Police on March 22, he has already been sentenced to 50 years in prison.

According to his criminal file, Martínez Gutiérrez would be, together with the neutralized alias Víctor Carlos and ‘Tommy Masacre’, the person responsible for extortion and crimes against businessmen and public service drivers in Barranquilla.

The man was required to answer for the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crime, extortion, terrorism, homicide; and trafficking, possession of firearms and/or ammunition.

Some of the facts for which he is being investigated are the homicide in the form of hit man Ender Javier Vallejo Garcia, murdered on May 9, 2021 in Soledad, Atlántico; the shooting against a driver of the Sobusa company in Soledad, on September 2, 2021, and the death, on September 7, 2021, of another driver of the Sobusa company.

The police records also accuse him of a threatening pamphlet from the ‘Rastrojos Costeños’ against the commerce sector, the company sobusa and drivers, which circulated on September 10, 2021, and a fragmentation grenade that was thrown a day later at the Colitoral public transport company.

In addition, according to the Police, this ringleader would also be responsible for shooting at a driver of the Coochofal public transport company, on September 17, 2021, as well as the injuries, also by firearms, against a driver of the Lolaya public transport company, on September 23, 2021.
