Ukraine proposes that the Black Sea can be recognized as a “NATO sea”

He Black Sea It should be a “NATO sea”, just like the Baltic, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Thursday, denouncing Russia’s imperialist policies.

The time has come for the Black Sea to become a NATO sea, like the Baltic Sea.”said Kuleba, who spoke remotely at a conference on the security of the Black Sea, organized in Bucharestaccording to the Romanian agency agerpres.

Kuleba added that while the West never had coherent strategies on the Black Sea, Russia always had “an aggressive plan.”

In his speech, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister reiterated his rejection of the position that Crimea is treated as a special case and that it will never be part of Ukraine anymore.

There is no difference between Simferopol, Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson or any other Ukrainian city. Ukraine must and will become one again.”he claimed.

He Black Sea is of special importance to ensure peace in Europe, Kuleba stressed, stating that the Russian occupation of Crimea means a threat to the whole world.

In this regard, the head of Ukrainian diplomacy added that peace must mean the restoration of Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders.

Kuleba also spoke about the next NATO summit to be organized with Ukraine’s participation in Vilnius in July, anticipating that there the green light could be given to his country’s entry into the Alliance.

Also participating in the conference on security in the Black Sea organized today in Bucharest is the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejcinovic Buric.
