The Pentagon tracks more than 650 possible cases of UFOs and answers the question of whether there is extraterrestrial life

Sean Kirkpatrick, director of the Department of Defense’s All Domains Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). USArevealed Wednesday that the Pentagon is investigating more than 650 possible cases of UFO sightings.

During an appearance before a subcommittee of the Senate Armed Services Committee, the official noted that the number of cases increased, since at the beginning of this year reference was made to 366 reports.

Out of the 650+ cases, we’ve prioritized about half of them as having an interesting outlier value, and now we have to look at them and say ‘How many of them do I have real data for?’”Kirkpatrick said, according to CNN.

The sightings are concentrated off the east coast and west coast of the United States, in the Middle East and in the South China Sea area.Kirkpatrick said.

Sean Kirkpatrick, director of the All Domains Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).

kirkpatrick played two videos of cases that were declassified, one of them was resolved and the other remains unresolved.

the first video shows a small sphere flying through the camera screen of an MQ-9 drone in the Middle East in 2022. The drone’s camera followed the object as it moved across the sky, moving in and out of the screen.

Kirkpatrick said that this case was not solved because there was no other evidence beyond the video.

“It’s going to be practically impossible to fully identify him, just based on that video.”, he stated. He added that the hope was that as more data was gathered about these episodes, patterns could emerge to help explain the unsolved cases.

in the second video, which was captured in South Asia earlier this year, an object flew next to MQ-9 drones. on recording that object appeared to have a propulsion trail behind it. According to Kirkpatrick, it was initially believed to be “truly anomalous.”

But after they separated the video frame by frame, his office determined it was a shadow of the heat emitted by the engines of a passenger jet that was currently passing through the area.

“This is in the infrared, this is the heat signature from the engines on a commuter plane that was flying near where those two MQ9s were.”indicated.

The audience you attended kirkpatrickchaired by the Democratic senator from New York Kirsten Gillibrandis the most recent that Congress has made on unidentified aerial phenomena. In recent years, legislators have pressured the Pentagon to resolve and report unexplained sightings.

on wednesday too Kirkpatrick was asked if the Pentagon has evidence of extraterrestrial life. “Our investigations have found no credible evidence of extraterrestrial life, or activity outside our planet, or objects that defy the laws of physics,” answered.

“Most of the unidentified objects reported to AARO show the mundane characteristics of balloons, (unmanned) aerial systems, trash, natural phenomena, or other perfectly explainable things,” added.

Besides, expressed concern that these technologies, more than from another world, could come from adversaries of the United States. “Russia and China, in particular China, is on par or ahead of us in some areas,” she said.

The information collected by the Pentagon over the past three decades offers a very clear picture of the UFO average: it usually flies between 6 and 7,600 meters, that is, slightly below commercial airplanes and 52% of the sightings are generally white or silver spheres that measure between 1 and 4 meters, explained Telemundo.

For its part, the Spanish newspaper El País stated that the office of kirkpatrick Its primary mission is to help the Pentagon and to the intelligence services of USA to identify technologies that other countries may be using. An example of them is the Chinese balloon that flew over the American sky at the beginning of this year.

In January of this year, the US Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) published a report on the sighting of unidentified flying objects. According to the 12-page report, the government received 510 reports of UFOs, many of which fly in sensitive military space.

“UFOs pose a flight and collision safety hazard to air assets, causing aircraft operators to adjust their flight patterns in response to their unauthorized presence in airspace, operating outside the rules and air traffic control instructions. To date, there have been no collisions between US aircraft and UFOs. Regarding health concerns, no UFO encounters have been confirmed that have contributed to adverse health effects for observers.the report said.

Of the 510 reported objects, 144 had already been previously reported, so the new referenced sightings are 366, whose incidents occurred in the 17 years prior to March 2021.

According to the report, In both old and new cases, it was determined that most of them present “unremarkable characteristics” and could be classified as unmanned aircraft systems.: 26 of these encounters or objects reported by the military are attributed to drones, 163 to balloons and six to garbage.
