The world commemorates Labor Day with protests, marches and a request for respect for labor rights

Hundreds of thousands of workers in different parts of the world left this Monday, May 1, the date on which the Labor Day 2023to protest and demand that their governments respect labor rights and better development and living conditions.

In Francefor example, acts of extreme violence occurred during the demonstrations for May 1in which thousands of workers also took the opportunity to continue expressing themselves against the pension reform approved by the government of Emmanuel Macron.

The demonstrators clashed with the Police in different cities of the country, including Paris, leaving a large number of injuries among civilians and law enforcement officers.

Similarly, in Italythe main unions in the country they went out to protest for Labor Day in Rome and Turin, among other cities, and during the demonstrations they burned flags, confronted the public forces and mobilized in large numbers. In both France and Italy large numbers of Protestants were arrested.

As far as Latin America is concerned, this May 1 marches were held for Labor Day in countries such as Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Honduras and Venezuela.
