Arrested suspect in shooting that left one injured in Florida supermarket

A man suspected of being the perpetrator of a shooting that occurred this Tuesday at a supermarket in the county of Browardin the southeast of Florida (USA), who left one seriously injured and fled the scene, was detained, authorities reported.

According to the Sheriff’s Office of Broward (BSO, in English), the suspect was arrested after fleeing on a motorcycle, although he has not yet been identified.

The shooting occurred around 2:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. GMT) inside a supermarket belonging to the chain Walmart In the town of Lauderdale Lakesaccording to local media today.

The wounded man, whose identity was not released, was airlifted to the Broward General Hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds.
