A fire whose causes are unknown was declared last night in a fuel depot in the town of Volnáin the Russian region of krasnodarjust over 10 kilometers from the place where the bridge that connects Russia with the annexed peninsula of crimealocal authorities reported today.

“The fire covers an area of 1,200 square meters. 23 units of special vehicles and 85 firefighters participate in the work to put out the fire”, wrote on his Telegram channel, the head of the district administration, Fyodor Babenkov.
The fuel depot fire in Volná It is the second accident in this type of facility that has occurred in the area in the last four days.
At dawn last Saturday, a drone attack caused a fire in a fuel tank in the Crimean port of Sevastopol, the main base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
According to the governor of Krasnodar, Venyamin Kondratievthe incident in Volna has not caused victims.
“Information is spreading on the networks that the evacuation of the inhabitants of Volna has begun (…). This information does not correspond to reality”, assured Kondratiev on Telegram.
He stressed that the situation does not require the evacuation of the inhabitants of Volná and asked the population to “remain calm.”
