Six Ukrainian regions suffer power cuts from Russian shelling, kyiv says

“Fortunately, the massive nightly bombardments of the capital region of kyiv and the region of Odessa have not caused damage to the energy infrastructure”, the institution announced on its Telegram channel.

“At the same time, due to the shelling, consumers in the regions Kherson, Kharkov, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Sumy and Chernihiv They remain without electricity. The Ministry continued.

Where the situation allows it, the workers of the electrical system are trying to restore the supply, said this institution, adding that throughout the day more than 24,500 users have been reconnected to the network.

Throughout the last day, the Russian forces launched 16 missiles against Ukrainian targets, according to the “Ukrinform” agency, in particular against the regions of Kharkov, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa (the latter in the south of the country).

They also registered 61 fighter-bomber attacksas well as 52 rocket impacts and 35 kamikaze drones were shot down by the Ukrainian armed forces, according to their own information.

Two civilians were injured in Kherson and two others in Donetsk as a result of these attacks, while according to the mayor of kyiv, Vitaly Klitschkofour citizens suffered minor injuries when fragments of downed drones fell on them.
