Investigators found some “elements” during searches launched in May into the 2007 disappearance of the British girl madeleine mccann in Portugal, but it is still unknown if they are linked to the case, the German public prosecutor’s office in Brunswick reported on Thursday.
“Some items were seized as part of this operation. These will be analyzed in the coming days and weeks.” the prosecution said in a statement, adding that it was “still too early” to determine if they were related to the case.

“Maddie” McCann disappeared shortly before his fourth birthday on May 3, 2007 in a spa in Praia da Luz, in it Algarvein the south of Portugalwhere he was on vacation with his family.
