Petro withdraws from the Government his chief of staff and the ambassador in Venezuela after scandal

Colombian President, Gustavo Petroannounced this Friday the withdrawal of the Government of the Chief of Staff, Laura Sarabiaand the ambassador in Venezuela, Armando Benedettiinvolved in a wiretapping scandal and possible abuse of power.

“While it is investigated, my dear and esteemed official and the ambassador of Venezuela they withdraw from the Government so that from the power that these positions imply, they cannot even have the distrust that they are going to alter the research processes”Petro said at a military promotion ceremony in Bogotá.
