Zelensky expressed to Latin American media his desire to meet with Lula da Silva

the ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with Latin American media to which he reiterated his desire to have a meeting with the president of Brazil, Luiz Inazio Lula de Silvawhich until now has not occurred despite having coincided in various international forums.

“It is not the first time that I say publicly, and not publicly and I cconfirmed once more; I am interested in having that meetingsaid Zelensky in statements quoted by the Ukrainian news agency ukrinform where the media you spoke to are not identified Zelensky.

“I have offered several formats. I invited the president (Brazilian) several times, I invited him to visit Ukraine. We got in touch with President Lula’s team when he had meetings in Spain and Portugalwhen I was in Europe”he added.

He also sought a meeting that did not take place on the sidelines of the recent G7 summit in Japan.

“Someone even said we didn’t find time to meet, that’s nonsense,” said Zelensky.

Other topics in his meeting with Latin American media, according to Zelensky in his Telegram account, were the position of the so-called global south in the face of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and the sanctions to Moscow.
