Driver in fatal accident in Australia released before trial

A bus driver charged with negligent driving that caused a 10-fatal crash north of sydneyappeared in court on Tuesday Australian who decided to release him until trial.

The vehicle he was driving with 35 passengers lost control at a roundabout and flipped on its side, killing nine people almost immediately.

Another passenger later died at a hospital and fourteen are still hospitalized, one of them in intensive care.

The driver gave a negative breathalyzer test but was driving with an erratic and excessive speed that some passengers would have complained about before the accident, according to police.

All the passengers had come from a wedding party in the picturesque Australian region of Hunter Valley.
