Work continues to recover remains that respond to the Titan tragedy

One day after confirming the implosion of the submersible Titan and the death of its five occupants, the work to recover the remains of the device continued this Friday, in an attempt to answer the unknowns about the tragedy.

Thus, the Pelagic Research Services ROV Odysseus 6K launched today from the ship Horizon Arctic at 15:30 GMT in the North Atlantic to return to the Titan debris site, the company detailed.

“The mission is to continue with the mapping and documentation of the area and assist in any direct recovery of debris”he pointed.

The US Coast Guard announced on Thursday that “debris” had been found near the area where the remains of the titanic. Later, he confirmed that the remains corresponded to the external part of the Titan submersible, missing since Sunday with five people on board.

Rear Admiral John Mauger, of the Coast Guard, confirmed that the occupants had died, minutes after he was overtaken by the company that owned the submersible, Ocean Gate.

Mauger affirmed that the work to rescue the remains was going to continue, in order to respond to the tragedy that began on Sunday, after Ocean Gate reported that he had lost contact with the submersible.
