USA will grant an additional package of 500 million dollars in weapons to reinforce the increasing counteroffensive of Ukraine against Russian forces, including armor and munitions, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.

The package would include around fifty armored vehicles, precision munitions for air defense systems patriot and artillery Himarsas well as detection equipment and mine sweeping.
According to the Pentagon’s detail, they will be sent to Ukraine 30 armored Bradley and 25 armored personnel carriers strykeras well as light weapons and almost 22 million ammunition for those weapons and grenades.
USA stressed that the help “includes key capabilities to support counter-offensive operations of Ukrainestrengthen their air defenses … and other equipment to help Ukraine to reverse the aggressive war of Russia”.
This weaponry will support the growing military momentum of Ukraine to break through the front lines in the south of the country in the hope of driving out the occupying Russian troops.
Those lines are heavily fortified with trenchesanti-tank obstacles and minefields to impede the Ukrainian advance on the ground.
The new US assistance comes a few days after the warlike capacity of Moscow looks worn after a riot by the paramilitary group Russian private Wagner whose leader, Yevgeny Prigozhinordered to take a base in Russian territory and tried to reach the capital, although he later backtracked after an agreement with the Kremlin.
