Russian embassy in Colombia after attack in Karamatorsk: “It was not an appropriate place to taste dishes”

The Embassy of Russia in Colombia alleged this Wednesday that the city of Kramatorsk “It is not an appropriate place to taste cooking dishes ukrainian” after the attack in which 11 people died and more than 60 were injured, including the writer Hector Abbotformer Peace Commissioner Sergio Jaramillo and the Colombian journalist catalina gomez.

“It is with great regret that we learn of the events in Kramatorsk. In our opinion, the city near the front, converted into an operational and logistic-military hub, is not an appropriate place to taste Ukrainian cuisine.”, assured Russian diplomacy through a message on its Twitter account.

“Of course we are happy that for the slightly injured citizens that reckless journey did not turn into an irreparable tragedy. We insist that the representatives of the friendly Colombian people refrain from visiting territories and places of war actions”, added the Russian Embassy.

The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petroasked to send a diplomatic note of protest to Russia after the attack that he considered “violates the protocols of war” after the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will express “its strongest condemnation of the unacceptable attack by Russian forces on a civilian target in Kramatorsk, Ukraine”.

For her part, the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharovaindicated this Wednesday: “We regret that Colombian citizens have been in this place during this time”, while questioning “why a ukrainian citizen invited her friends to this place”, as the Embassy shared on its social networks.

Abad, Jaramillo and Gómez were together with the Ukrainian writer victoria amelina, in a restaurant when a Russian missile attack hit the center of Kramatorsk. According to the Ukrainian Police, 11 people have been killed and more than 60 injured in the missile attack carried out by Russian forces.

Among the injured is Amelina, who is in critical condition due to a fractured skull.
