Zelensky will attend the NATO summit in Lithuania in person

The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskywill attend in person the summit of the NATO which is held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Vilnius, according to the latest program published by the Atlantic Alliance this Monday.

It was planned that Zelensky participate in the summit, at least for videoconferencebut until now its presence “in situ” was not confirmed.

According to the summit program, Zelensky is invited on Tuesday to a dinner at the Presidential Palace with the 31 allies, which will also be attended by the leaders of Sweden, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea, In addition to the presidents of the European Commission and of the European Council.

On Wednesday, Zelensky hold a bilateral meeting with the general secretary of the NATO, Jens stoltenbergafter which they will offer a press conference.

Next, he will participate in the first edition of the NATO-Ukraine Councila forum “of equals” with which the two parties will enhance their political relations.

At this summit, the allies will give their support to Ukraine against the war of aggression Russia and will make decisions with which they hope to bring kyiv to the NATO not yet reached raise your membership.

Specifically, they will strengthen their support with a multi-annual program that will favor the transition from Soviet-era military equipment to the modern ones used by the Atlantic Allianceso that there is more interoperability between the two parties.
