France announces an exceptional mobilization of police and firefighters for July 14

He Government French announced today an “exceptional” mobilization of police and firefighters to prevent and combat possible street disorders during the next festive bridge on July 14.

The security device will mobilize a total of 130,000 police and gendarmesof which 45,000 will be deployed every night next Thursday and Friday.

In addition, 34,000 firefighters will be mobilized, the Interior Minister announced at a press conference, Gerald Darmaninwho justified the deployment to avoid a resurgence of the “extreme violence” of the week of riots that the country experienced for one week starting June 27.

Among the mobilized agents are the special anti-terrorist units of the gendarmerie and of the National Police and helicopters and drones will also be used.

“If there are overflows, we will act with the greatest determination”warned the French president, Emmanuel Macronfrom Vilniuswhere today the summit of the NATO.

There were close to 4,000 detainees and more than 900 police officers were injured, recalled the minister.

darmanin also stressed the ban on the possession, use and sale of fireworks to individuals, which came into force last Sunday and will last until the end of the next Saturday.

The minister explained that since June 30 they have seized and more than 150,000 artifacts of this type and several illegal shops have been closed.

In addition, the tram and bus service of public transport will stop at 10:00 p.m. and have been prohibited demonstrations until July 15.
