Police in Florida kill a fugitive after shooting that left two officers injured

A suspect in shooting two police officers from Orlando, Florida (USA), during a traffic stop, seriously injuring the officers, was killed by law enforcement after a chase that ended in a hotel in the city where the parks of Disneythe authorities reported.

Daton Shimondrea Viel28, was found in a hotel near the tourist area of Universal Studios, where he was killed this Saturday by a SWAT team (specialized units in special interventions) from the orlando policeinformed in a press conference the head of the local institution, Eric Smith.

“Our police officers risk their lives every day to keep our community safe. Two @OrlandoPolice were shot last night during a proactive stop doing just that. I visited the officers and their families this morning and We share the support of our community”, wrote Dyer on the social network X, formerly Twitter.

For his part, the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantispointed out on the same platform that, together with the first lady, Casey DeSantisit’s found “prayingby the two officers.

According to authorities, the second suspect was not directly involved in the shooting of the officers.
