Trump turns himself in to a Georgia jail to be booked for his indictment

The former president of USA donald trump (2017-2021) turned himself in this Thursday to be booked in an Atlanta jail, in Georgiawhere he is accused of 13 crimes for having tried to reverse the result of the 2020 presidential election in said state.

His lawyers agreed with the prosecution on a bail of 200,000 dollars and the Republican will be released once his fingerprints have been taken and a police photograph has been taken.

Trump, who traveled by private plane from New Jersey to the capital of Georgiaarrived at 19:35 local time (23:35 GMT) at the prison of the fulton county in a convoy of armored vehicles and escorted by the Secret Service, which is in charge of their security.

If found guilty on all counts, the former Republican president could be sentenced to up to 76.5 years in prison.
