USA: Senator Mitch McConnell again paralyzed in the middle of a press conference

The state of health of the chief of Republican senators in the United States raises questions. For the second time in a month, Mitch McConnell raised serious concerns about his health on Wednesday as he was the victim of an extended absence in the middle of a press conference.

On the way to his state of Kentucky, 81-year-old Senator McConnell appeared paralyzed for about 30 seconds and could not answer a reporter’s question. He was just asked about his desire to run again in 2026. His entourage stated that before the next public meeting, he would consult with a doctor.

Big fall in March

The Republican tenor had already experienced a very similar episode on July 26, frozen for no reason in the middle of a press conference on Capitol Hill before his entourage suggested he slip away. When asked about Mitch McConnell’s condition, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre wished him “a speedy recovery.”

Mitch McConnell, the undisputed leader of the Republicans in the Senate since 2015, was in this capacity at the forefront of the fight not only against the policies of the administration of Democratic President Barack Obama (2009-2017), but also to support Donald Trump, who came to power in January 2017 of the year. In March, an octogenarian senator was hospitalized after falling during a private dinner party, leaving him with a concussion, a broken rib, and being out of work for nearly six weeks.
