Two arrested for destroying part of the Great Wall of China to make way for heavy machinery

The Police China has arrested two people for causing serious damage to a section of the Big Wall by opening a hole in its structure so that heavy machinery could pass through, state television CCTV reported today.

The incident occurred on August 24 in the section called “32″, which is part of the Big Wall built during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) and which owes its name to its condition of being the 32nd surveillance post found in the territory of the county of youyu.

The police received a complaint about the fact and moved to the place, where he found evidence that the wall had been destroyed by a heavy machine.

After tracking them down, the agents located the two suspects in a neighboring town and took them to the police station for questioning, after which they confessed to having damaged the structure. “to avoid having to take a detour.”
