North Korea announces new “tactical nuclear attack submarine”

North Korea announced this Friday that construction of a new “tactical nuclear attack submarine”, a weapon intended to reinforce its naval force, indicated the North Korean state agency KCNA.

The North Korean president Kim Jong-unhad already participated on Wednesday in an event about that submarine and had assured that “It is part of an advance in the nuclearization of the navy”according to the agency.

The president inspected the submarine this Thursday.

According to KCNA, Kim Jong-un insisted “the need“to equip submarines and other naval vessels”with tactical nuclear weapons”.
