Russell Brand, the controversial British actor and YouTuber accused of rape and sexual assault

On Friday, the day before the investigation against him was published, Brand shared a video on social media denying the allegations.

On video, Brand says “serious criminal charges” were brought against him and said his relationships “have always been consensual.”

The actor and comedian said he had received letters from a television channel and a newspaper with a “series” of “aggressive attacks”.

He said he believed he had been the target of a “coordinated attack” and that he would analyze the situation because it was “very, very serious”.
