Tragedy in Spain: a fourth person missing in the Murcia nightclub fire is found alive

A fourth person remained missing after the fire in a well-known leisure area in the Spanish city of Murciawhich left at least thirteen dead, was found this Monday alive and in good condition, so only a fifth missing person is now being searched.

The fire started on Sunday morning in one of the facilities. Watchtower complexa popular area of Murciawhere dozens of nightclubs, fast food establishments and nightclubs share space, without the exact origin of the incident being known at this time.

The flames quickly spread to the two adjacent nightclubs, one of which was frequented by the Latino communityat a time when there were still people enjoying a night out with friends.

The four people located are safe. and they contacted their families, municipal sources reported.

So far, three of the victims have been identified by their Fingerprintsand the rest are being tried through DNA testing through their family members.

In addition to the 13 deaths, 24 people were injured and the possibility of finding another victim cannot be ruled out, as firefighters are shoring up areas of the collapsed facilities to allow emergency services access.

It is the deadliest fire recorded in Spain in a place of leisure since the tragedy that occurred in 1990 at the nightclub “flight” in Zaragozawhere 43 people died.

The biggest nightclub tragedy happened in Madrid on December 17, 1983, when a fire broke out behind the stage curtains of the Alcalá 20 nightclub ended the lives of 81 peoples, most of them young.
