Guatemala’s Supreme Court rejects Arévalo’s appeal against authorities he accuses of a “coup d’état”

The appeal, filed against the attorney general, Consuelo Porras; the judge Fredy Orellana; and the head of Special Prosecutor’s Office Against Impunity (FECI), Rafael Curruchicheis part of several legal actions with which Arévalo seeks to protect the results of the elections and prevent what he considers a plan of “coup d’etat” to prevent him from taking power on January 14th.

The three judicial officials waged a crusade against the results of the general elections, against the Seed Matching of Arévalo and the magistrates of Supreme Electoral Court (TSE).
