“Gaza will never be what it was”: Israel announces it will launch an “all-out offensive” without restrictions

The Minister of Defense of IsraelYoav Gallant announced this Tuesday that the country will launch “a total offensive” against the Gaza Strip, which will completely change the situation on the ground, although he did not go into specific aspects.

“I have lifted all restrictions. We have regained control of the border and are moving towards a full offensive“, he said gallantwhile meeting with Israeli military and elite fighters near the border of Link.

“You fought with great bravery. You saw what we fight against: against human animals“, said the minister, characterizing the militiamen of Hamas as “the Islamic State” Link.

“Thanks to your heroic action, you will have the right to change reality here. You will see the transformation. Hamas wanted change, and it will change 180 degrees from what they thought. They will regret that moment: Gaza will never be what it wasGallant promised.

“It cannot be that Israeli children are murdered in the countryside and Hamas continues to exist. “I have lifted all restrictions: whoever fights against us will be killed, using all means”, insisted the minister.

The death toll in the surprise attack that Hamas, the Islamic organization that dominates Gaza, launched last Saturday against several cities near the Strip, exceeds 900 dead and 2,400 injured, half a thousand of them seriously.

On the Palestinian side, Israeli aerial bombings cost the lives of 830 Gazans, many of them civilians, according to Gaza authorities.

In addition to this, around 1,500 Hamas militiamen died during the attack or in subsequent fighting on Israeli territory, according to the count of the Israeli army, which this morning regained control of the area.

Gaza residents told EFE that the aerial bombardments carried out since yesterday are very different from those usual in previous clashes, as they are much more destructive and are launched without the prior warning that was common in Israeli operations in the past.
