Ukraine: six dead after Russian strike on postal depot in Kharkov region

Russia continues its deadly attacks on Ukraine this weekend. At least six people were killed and 14 injured on Saturday in a rocket attack on a Russian postal station in the Kharkiv region of northeastern Ukraine, local authorities said.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky broadcast a video showing a heavily damaged warehouse next to garbage and a container with the logo of the Ukrainian postal operator Nova Poshta.

“The 6 people killed and 14 wounded as a result of the attack by the invaders were company employees who were inside the Nova Poshta terminal,” said Oleg Sinegubov, governor of the Kharkov region. “The victims, aged 19 to 42, were injured from shrapnel and explosions.” “, he added. Fourteen people were hospitalized, seven in serious condition.

According to the regional prosecutor’s office, Russian forces in the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine fired S-300 missiles, two of which hit a warehouse. “Analysis of the wreckage continues at the scene of the incident in order to establish the exact number of wounded and dead,” department spokesman Dmitry Chubenko told state media Suspilnoe.
