Peruvian is reported missing in Mexico after Hurricane Otis

The family of Pedro Javier Vega Cisneros is asking Peruvian and Mexican authorities for help in finding him, as he is missing after category five Hurricane Otis, which destroyed a large part of the resort of Acapulco.

He was at the convention center, where he was participating in a PromPeru mining convention in Acapulco along with thirty-five other businesspeople, when the hurricane made landfall.

His family told Canal N that Pedro made a video call and was in contact for two and a half hours detailing what happened, however, communication was suddenly cut off and since then nothing has been known about his whereabouts.

“Pedro called the moment the hurricane started. He wanted to take refuge in the bathroom, but the ceiling exploded and he ran to hide under the bed. There he began to ask for help“, they narrated.
