Anti-Israel protesters take over airport in the Russian republic of Dagestan | VIDEOS

Dozens of protesters invaded the airport in Makhachkala, capital of the Russian republic of Dagestan, with a Muslim majority, this Sunday, after the announcement that a plane would arrive from Israel.

The unrest prompted Russian air traffic controller Rosaviatsia to suspend all flights from this terminal.

“After the invasion of unknown people in the transit zone, it was decided to temporarily close the airport to take-offs and landings,” he said, adding that security forces were deployed to the location.
