Yemen’s Houthi rebels launch new drone attacks on Israel

The Houthi rebels Yemen today announced the launch of a new round of drone attacks against different targets in Israel which, according to the Shiite movement, caused the suspension of activities at some bases and airports in the country.

“As a result of the operation, activity stopped at bases and airports that were targeted for several hours”, he indicated on the same social network.

Sarea declared that they will continue their “qualitative military operations in support of the oppressed Palestinian people until the end of the brutal Israeli aggression” against the population in the Gaza Strip.

This new action takes place practically a week after rebels claimed responsibility for three more missile and drone attacks on Israel, Although the Israeli Army reported that its defense systems intercepted an “aerial target” that was heading towards its territory.

Then, Israel formally accused the Yemen’s Houthi rebels throw “missiles and drones” which were aimed at its territory, but which hit two tourist cities in Egypt, close to the border, causing injuries to at least six people.

Later, the Israeli Army announced that reinforce security in the Red Sea area with Navy missile ships, after having thwarted several attacks by the Yemeni Shiite group.

The Yemeni Houthis have warned on several occasions that they “will not stand idly by in the face of the genocidal war” in Gaza, warning that “crossing the red lines forces Yemen to fulfill its religious and principled duty”.
