Panama: Gunman shoots and kills two people at anti-mining protest

Two people died this Tuesday when a gunman fired shots during one of the protests against a mining contract that has been taking place for two weeks in PanamaEFE confirmed on the spot.

The man, an adult with white hair and a long beard and carrying an automatic weapon, shot after 2:40 pm local time (7:40 pm Brasília) at the two people, who were with others at a blockade in the neighborhood. The two injured men died, one at the scene and the other at the scene. São Carlos Hospitala police source told EFE.
