New video footage shows the moment an off-duty soldier threw seven grenades at Hamas terrorists while protecting others.
22-year-old Brit and Israeli Aner Shapira was caught in the crossfire of the October 7 attacks on the Supernova Festival and was able to save a group of people, but tragically died in the process.
While Hamas still surrounded the entrance to the bunker, Israeli soldier Aner intervened.
The newly released clip shows a group of soldiers surrounding the shelter before throwing several grenades inside.
But every time a grenade was thrown into the bunker, Aner threw it back at the terrorists.
For four minutes, armed Hamas fighters can be seen ducking as the explosives they dropped in the bunker fly towards them – even calling for reinforcements.

In an interview with Kan News, Aner’s mother said her son protected other festival goers who were sheltering in the shelter.
She added: “He stood at the entrance and threw the grenades outside. And he was able to save so many people.”
His grandmother Yamima Ben-Menahem told Sky: “When the terrorists got closer, he stood at the entrance and when they started throwing grenades into the bunker, he said: ‘I’ll throw them back and if I miss one.’ “You do the rest of the work.”
“The people who survived called us… and one by one they said, ‘He saved our lives.'”
South First Responders shared the video and said those he protected from the grenades lived to tell the story.
The organization added: “Shapira ultimately died from injuries sustained while holding the terrorists at bay and fighting to save the lives of his fellow partygoers.”
Aner was one of 3,500 revelers who, after a night of dancing to trance music in the Negev desert, were targeted by Hamas in a shocking attack that led to all-out war.
More than 11,000 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis were killed after the bloody battle began on October 7.
