The world’s fastest and tallest roller coaster with top speeds of up to 250 km/h opens in Saudi Arabia.

Falcon’s Flight will open next year at Six Flags Quiddiya, a huge theme park near Riyadh built as part of the Gulf state’s Vision 2030 initiative.

The towering roller coaster has a track length of over 4,000 meters and at one point plunges off a cliff to a depth of 200 meters.

The ride is considered the world’s first “Exa Coaster” and breaks the current height record of 1,556 feet set by Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey.

It will also surpass the fastest – currently Formula Rossa at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, which reaches speeds of 230 km/h and requires the wearing of goggles.

The completed roller coaster will be bigger than the London Eye and will soar above a Formula 1 race track that is also being built nearby.

There will be six trains, each with room for 14 people, two in the front carriage and four in the remaining three carriages, with each row having its own windscreen, eliminating the need to wear safety glasses.

The model car project was unveiled by Intamin this week at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo.

Philippe Gas, Chief Executive Officer of Qiddiya, said: “Roller coaster fans around the world have been eagerly awaiting this ride since it was announced, as there is nothing like it anywhere else.”

“Now that we are in the design phase with the experts at Intamin and the Six Flags engineering team, the excitement is building!

“Falcon’s Flight will dominate the Qiddiya skyline, around our destination, straight from the theme park, up and down the cliff – the longest descent of any ride in the world; It won’t be for the faint of heart.’

Six Flags Qiddiya is billed as ‘a theme park that will break all records in fun and entertainment for the whole family’, spread across six themed areas with ‘an array of record-breaking rides and attractions, including the gravity-defying Falcon Flight’.

It will be built in Qiddiya, a planned city “on Riyadh’s doorstep” being developed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

“Our goal is to ensure that Saudi Arabia is named one of the top tourism destinations in the world, in line with Vision 2030, and we are proud of the local, regional and international media attention our project continues to attract,” thus the development. plans on a website.

Saudi Arabia, which has one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, is planning a series of so-called mega-projects aimed at reinventing the economy and reducing dependence on oil and gas, called Vision 2030.

The vision’s objectives include attracting 27 million domestic and foreign tourists to the Arab country.
