Pandora Papers: investigation reveals 14 world leaders hid their fortune to avoid paying taxes

A new journalistic investigation by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) revealed this Sunday that 14 active world leaders hid fortunes of billions of dollars to avoid paying taxes.

Among others, King Abdullah II of Jordan spent $ 100 million on luxury homes in California and elsewhere, while leaders of the Czech Republic, Kenya and Ecuador hid property and cash from the authorities, revealed The Washington Post, one of the media that has published the leaks.

The ICIJ, based in Washington and famous for the so-called Panama Papers, has baptized this new investigation as the Pandora Papers and assures that 600 journalists have participated in it, who have examined 1.9 million documents.
