Yemen’s Houthi rebels announce capture of Israeli cargo ship in Red Sea

Houthi rebels Yemenwhich are backed by Iran, announced on Sunday that they had captured an Israeli cargo ship in the Red Sea and diverted it to the coast of the war-torn country, a rebel official and a maritime source said.

“We took an Israeli cargo ship towards the coast of Yemen,” said a Houthi official.

A maritime source in the coastal city of Hodeida said The ship was taken to the port city of Salif.
