Corinna Larsen wanted to hand over part of her offshore fortune to King Juan Carlos I, according to the Pandora Papers

The lawyers of Corinna Larsen, former mistress of the Spanish King Emeritus, Juan Carlos I, on Sunday separated their client from an alleged financial network so that he would receive funds from the Saudi Hispanic Investment Fund in the event that she died.

“Rumors that lack any foundation point to Juan Carlos as beneficiary of a financial structure related to Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein “said Robin Rathmell of the London law firm Kobre & Kim in a note released by Corinna’s representation agency.

According to the newspaper “El País” -which publishes leaks obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists- Corinna planned in 2007 that the managers who administered a trust called Peregrine would hand over to Juan Carlos I, in case she died, “30% of the income from the Hispanic Saudi Investment Fund” that the previous head of state had sponsored and for whom she had worked.

“These rumors have their origin in false documentation. The evidence showing the falsification of these documents was presented to the Swiss authorities in 2019 ″, Rathmell said in the statement.

The lawyers add that this alleged forgery will be incorporated as part of the harassment lawsuit filed at the time by Corinna against Juan Carlos before the High Court of England.
