Javier Milei and Patricia Bullrich met in Buenos Aires

The president-elect of Argentina, Javier Milei, met this Thursday in Buenos Aires with the former presidential candidate of Together for Change (center-right), Patricia Bullrich, although no details of the conversation were revealed.

As indicated by the Elected Presidency of the Argentine Republic in a statement on its official profile on the social network, this has been going on for weeks.

Last week, sources from La Libertad Avanza assured EFE that Bullrich will be the new Minister of Security in the libertarian executive, a position she already held during the government of Mauricio Macri (2015-2019).

However, an official statement on the matter has not yet been issued.

Whatever Bullrich’s final place in the next Executive, it is clear that Milei’s team will not just be libertarian.

Several names close to former president Macri, such as the next Economy Minister, Luis Caputo, have already been confirmed by the president-elect’s team.

In today’s statement, the Presidency of the Republic officially notified Caputo’s future appointment, which Milei himself had already announced yesterday in a radio interview after his trip to the United States.

The future head of the economic department accompanied the economist on his visit to Washington, where he held meetings with officials from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the United States Treasury Department.

On the other hand, Guillermo Francos, who will take over the Ministry of the Interior, will participate this Thursday in the 29th Industrial Conference in the Argentine capital, which Milei himself was initially expected to participate in.
