Hamas releases two more Israeli hostages in Gaza

Hamas this afternoon released two Israeli prisoners in Gaza, as part of the truce between Israel and the Islamic group that was extended this Thursday for another day, with more hostages expected to be released later, said the Israeli Army.

The two hostages were handed over to the Red Cross, which transferred them to Israeli special forces “adjacent to the security fence with the Gaza Strip”, after which they will go to the military base in Hatzerimin the Israeli area of ​​the Negev desert.

“More hostages are expected to be handed over in the coming hours,” the Army added. According to media reports, Hamas sent a list of ten captives that includes eight Israelis and two people with dual Russian-Israeli citizenship.

Yesterday, two Russian-Israeli women were released hours before the remaining eight hostages, in what Hamas said was a gesture towards the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
