The government of Venezuela announced this Monday the “commercial opening” of the broad land border with Colombia, closed since 2019 in the middle of a political and diplomatic dispute with the neighboring country.

“Starting tomorrow we will be opening trade between our countries”, Vice President Delcy RodrÃguez said in a message on state television a few hours after containers that blocked circulation through the main binational bridge were removed, AFP confirmed.
