Russia is interested in developing relations with Milei’s Argentina, according to the Kremlin

Russia are interested in developing relationships with Argentina and will focus on “common interests”, according to what the spokesperson for Kremlin, Dmitri Peskov.

“We intend to focus on our common interests with ArgentinaThat’s why we are interested in developing our bilateral relations,” Peskov said in his daily telephone press conference.

The spokesperson downplayed the support expressed for Ukraine during the election campaign for the new Argentine president, Javier Mileiwho met on Sunday after his inauguration with the Ukrainian leader, Volodimir Zelensky.

“We know that there were contradictory statements from good air before the elections, but now they are being corrected“, he said Peskov.

He emphasized that Moscow understand that Argentina can develop its relations with third countries, as it is its “sovereign right”.

“Until it does not directly affect Our interests“, warned, however, the spokesperson for Kremlin.

Peskov highlighted that Russia has common interests with many Latin American countriesincluded Argentinawith regard to participation in integration processes.

Asked if the Russian president, Vladimir PutinI have plans to visit soon America Latin America, the spokesperson responded negatively, although he stressed that Russia intends to continue developing its relations with many countries on the continent.
