WHO collects “moving” testimonies after bombing of refugee camp in Gaza

“A boy lost his entire family in the bombing of the camp. A nurse at the hospital suffered the same loss, her entire family died” he added.

He Gaza Ministry of Healthgoverned by Hamas since 2007, claims that at least 70 people were killed in the Sunday night attack in Al Maghaziin the center of Palestinian territory.

This number could not be independently corroborated. The Israeli military claims it is “checking the incident”.

“This latest bombing of a Gaza community shows why an immediate ceasefire is needed“, he wrote.

Sean Caseymember of the WHO mission, explained that he helped care for a nine-year-old boy named Ahmed, who was seriously injured.

“He was treated only with sedatives to ease his suffering before he died.”, he described in a video from the hospital.

“He was crossing the street in front of the shelter where his family was and the building next door was hit.“, he said.

“He was hit by shrapnel and debris and his brain tissue was damaged.”, he reported.

“Nobody can do anything for him. Like many places here, there is no capacity to treat complex neurological cases, complex trauma cases“, am sorry.

“This situation is unacceptable”, he stressed angrily. “This must stop“, he said.
