‘Nasrallah, the next target to destroy’: Facing fire risk, Israel targets Lebanese Hezbollah leader

Hassan Nasrallah, the powerful leader of Lebanese Hezbollah, was named this Wednesday as “the next target to be killed on Israel’s list,” according to Eli Cohen, Israel’s Foreign Minister. The Israeli army general staff indicated that the armed forces are “in a state of very high level of preparation for the expansion of hostilities in the north,” where clashes with Hezbollah have intensified almost daily since the start of hostilities in the Gaza Strip. This Wednesday, Hezbollah fired a record number of rockets at Israel. The General Staff added that the IDF must “be prepared to invade if necessary,” while tens of thousands of Israelis have been evacuated from the north of the country since the conflict began due to attacks by the Lebanese Shiite movement.
