An 11-year-old boy no longer recognizes his face after Israel attacked his home in Gaza.

Ali Mushtaha was burned and disfigured in the attack, which also killed a dozen family members.

A video shows the child’s injuries, which have left him unrecognizable and in urgent need of hospital treatment, which he cannot receive in the besieged area.

“Every time I look at my face I cry. I wish my face was the same as before,” he says in the clip shared by Palestinian journalist Hani Aburezeq.

He showed a photo of smiling little Ali on his phone before the war escalated on October 7.

The boy had tears in his eyes when he saw him before the rocket attack and recalled: “I begged my father to bring me a uniform of Al-Ahly football club.

“After he brought it, I lost it in the bombing of my house.”

“My dream is to be like the Egyptian goalkeeper Mohammad El-Shenawy, I want to get to know him.”

More than three months after the start of the war, the suffering of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip continues as Israel carries out coordinated, targeted and deadly attacks from the air and on the ground.

During this time, strikes continued to ravage the entire enclave, leaving much of it in ruins.

Health authorities in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip say the Israeli offensive there has killed more than 21,800 people.

Fighting in central parts continued unabated today, residents warned. Tanks advanced on al-Bureij and airstrikes targeted al-Nusseirat, al-Maghazi and Khan Younis.

According to recent reports on the ground, Israel is withdrawing thousands of soldiers from Gaza as part of a new phase of the war.

This could indicate a scaling back of fighting in some areas, especially in the northern half, where the military has said it is close to taking operational control.

Israel is under pressure from its key ally, the United States, to switch to lower-intensity fighting.

News of the withdrawal came ahead of a visit by Secretary of State Antony Blinken to the region and after the Biden administration bypassed Congress for the second time this month to approve an emergency arms sale to Israel.
