Fabricio Colón Pico, leader of the Los Lobos criminal gang, the most dangerous in Ecuador, escaped from the prison where he was being held in Riobamba, capital of Chimborazo, local media reported this Tuesday.
The criminal had been captured last Friday, January 5, in a house in the north of Quito. The following day, Colón Pico received a preventive arrest order for the alleged crime of kidnapping.

Columbus Peak was appointed by the attorney general Ecuador, Diana Salazarof being behind a plan to kill her.
This Tuesday, the mayor of Riobamba, John Vinuezaconfirmed to the Primicias portal that a total of 32 prisoners escaped from prison, including Columbus Peak.

The criminal feared being transferred to the La Roca maximum security prisonaccording to La Defensa, he kind of shared Colón Pico’s statements.
According to Primícias, governor of Chimborazo, Rodrigo Caceres, confirmed that explosions were recorded inside the prison early in the morning. He also indicated that the transfer of Columbus Peak to another prison.
In videos circulating on social media, explosions, cries for help from residents surrounding the prison and inmates escaping can be heard.

The prison guards kidnapped by the inmates were then released. Some came out in handcuffs and others tied their hands with cloths, Primícias said.
Before releasing them, the prisoners demanded the presence of the media.
