Trump criticizes the fact that no charges were brought against Biden for keeping confidential documents

Former American President donald trump criticized this Thursday that the investigation into the president of USA, Joe Bidenfor keeping confidential documents when he was vice president did not end in formal accusation and that “Your crimes are being swept under the rug”.

“You mishandled confidential documents. SOLD our country every step of the way. And now, his crimes are being swept under the rug!“, said the former president (2017-2021) in a statement distributed by his campaign team.

Trump, the main favorite in the primary process of the Republican party Ahead of the general elections next November, he regretted that, on the contrary, in his case the judicial process of retaining official documents, including almost a hundred classified documents, at his residence in Florida.

The former governor stated this after this Thursday the special prosecutor Roberto Hur would conclude that Joe Biden intentionally withheld confidential documents from his time as vice president, but there is insufficient justification to bring charges against him.

Prosecuting Biden, Hur noted, would be “unjustified based on our consideration of aggravating and mitigating factors”, and explained that the tests “they do not establish guilt“of the president”beyond any reasonable doubt”.

Biden has been the target of investigation for a year, when they met at his home in Delaware and in a private office confidential documents from the time he was vice-president of Barack Obama (2009-2017).

Trump, Republican candidate for next November’s elections, was also investigated for retaining official documents in his mansion in Florida and was charged after refusing to hand them over for months.

According to information that has been made public, the number of documents at issue in the Biden investigation is around 20, while Trump allegedly illegally retained hundreds of documents, several of them containing confidential information and which were recovered in a raid on the FBI.
