Ukraine claims to have “destroyed” Russian warship off Crimea

The army of Ukraine said this Wednesday that it “destroyed” a Russian warship south of Crimeaa Ukrainian peninsula annexed by Moscow a decade ago.

The Ukrainian armed forces, with military intelligence units, destroyed a large ship disembarkation, the ‘Caesar Kunikov“, declared the Army General Staff on its Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian military intelligence department (GUR) detailed that it managed to pierce the ship on the left side, after which the ship “began to sink.”

According to GUR, this is a ship capable of housing for 87 crew, and was used by Russia in its wars against Georgia in 208 and in Syria more recently.
